In the book of Mark
9:23 it states that Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are
possible to him who believes.” The practice of belief has existed for ages. Since
the beginning of time our Creator has encouraged us as his children to believe.
If you study the bible you can find countless stories that speak upon the power
of belief, and how it people used it to
overcome challenges, gain strength, and most importantly sustain their faith.
The process of
believing, manifesting, and visualization have taken on different meanings in
the new age. Today, there are tools like vision boards, affirmations,
meditation, and countless other notions to bring forward the power of belief in
our lives today. Yet, some detest these techniques as some sort of magical or
mystical taboo.
The truth is that the
practice of belief — and whatever tactic you choose to practice has everything
to do with faith and the belief in a higher power other than yourself. Your own
will or strength is not enough to bring forth the changes you want to see in
your life. If we want to achieve or accomplish anything in this lifetime it
starts with faith and the belief in our hearts that our Creator will provide
for us.
It is impossible to
have faith and not believe. Mark 11:24 states that “Therefore I tell you, all
things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and
you shall have them!
Yet, let’s not get
ahead of ourselves. Our Creator isn’t a magician or a genie. You are required
to take action and believe in your heart that you have these things even if you
don’t see tangibly see them.
We’re living in an age
today where we expect things to happen fast. We want all of our desires right
here, right now. Living in this mindset can be a challenge when we don’t see
the things we want manifesting in our lives. Yet, the question is are we not
seeing things happen for us, or are we not doing our part to ask, receive,
believe, and continue to show gratitude and appreciation with the things we are
blessed with?
The power of belief
exists inside of you. We were made in his image and his likeness. We’re
co-creators of our world and our lives. We are creating our reality by what we
believe about ourselves and our capabilities. Being blessed has more to do with
knowing and demonstrating our faith to our creator than basking in the goodness
of the tangible items we’ve received.
